ATLANTA – Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia, Inc., recently announced the graduates of its 2015 Future Leaders program. The 28 students completed the 9-month program in September.

Participation in the Future Leaders program requires nomination by an individual’s direct supervisor or another company executive. Debuted in 2003, Future Leaders has received recognition by ABC National, and is often cited as a model for developing up-and-coming leaders at ABC-member companies.

“It has been an honor working with these 28 students this year,” remarked Pat Dunwoody, ABC of Georgia’s Executive Vice President of Education, who oversees the program. “They have demonstrated commitment and an eagerness to apply new leadership ideas throughout the year. I know they will go far in our industry,” she said.

Each year, Future Leaders students explore a range of leadership topics including relationship building, communications, teambuilding, Whole Brain Thinking and goal setting. Many Future Leaders graduates have gone on to serve in leadership roles within ABC, as committee members, committee chairs, and board directors.

Classes in this year’s program were facilitated by three veteran Future Leaders faculty members, including Jack Williams, IDEALS Leadership Foundation, Inc., Roger Blackstock, Peer Synergy Group, Inc., and Don Witzel, D.R. Withal.

ABC of Georgia represents nearly 300 commercial and industrial contractors, suppliers and service firms, representing more than 10,000 employees. Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) is a national trade association with 22,000 members representing more than 19,000 construction and industry-related firms. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 70 chapters help members win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in ABC and its members work.
