(November 3, 2017) ATLANTA, GA – Winter Construction has completed construction of the new Canterfield Senior Living facility in Kennesaw, Georgia. The facility held a ribbon-cutting and celebration that included live music, with residents and visitors dressed in “derby day” costume

Atlanta-based Medical Development Corp (MDC) developed the Canterfield model. Winter Construction built the new, cost-efficient Canterfield community in Kennesaw, and similar facilities in Franklin, Tennessee, and Bluffton, South Carolina.

Brent Reid, CEO of Winter Construction, said, “Canterfield of Kennesaw is a beautiful facility in a beautiful place, and we are proud to have accomplished this project.”

MDC’s Canterfield facilities are designed to allow the resident to age in place, a benefit many communities do not offer, while satisfying each individual’s needs and desires in a country club-like setting.

Canterfield Senior Living of Kennesaw is positioned to take advantage of the growth of Cobb County, Georgia. Georgia Trend Magazine recently said that Cobb County is a region in transition, “poised to offer residents a unique blend of urban culture and small-town charm.”

Atlanta-based architecture firm Corcoran Ota Group designed the Canterfield model with construction pricing efficiency in mind. Future maintenance cost-reduction is also a primary focus of initial building design.
