Estimators 
The estimator is responsible for assisting senior estimators with the preparation of complete project budgets and proposals, ranging from conceptual to GMP. The estimator should be able to contribute significantly to a preconstruction pricing effort for Design Build, Design Assist, Select Bid, and CM at-Risk projects. Responsibilities also include:
  • Experience preparing detailed cost estimates and reading project plans and specifications to confirm complete scope
  • Knowledge of unit costs and factors affecting construction cost.
  • Soliciting subcontractor pricing
  • Reviewing general conditions, schedule, scope of work, site logistics, and other exhibits
  • Participating in client presentations
  • Participating in value engineering sessions with internal team and Owner
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years experience in Preconstruction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and appropriately prioritize
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.)
Project Managers & Senior Project Managers (Hospitality, K-12, Higher Ed, State/County Government, Retail, Student Housing, MultiFamily, Office)
The project manager, in partnership with the superintendent, is responsible for the overall success of a construction project. Position is responsible for providing exceptional client service, leading a project team, managing project budget, schedule, and quality assurance, and being part of making the project a good experience for everyone involved, from subcontractors to the owner to Winter’s team. The project manager oversees contractual requirements and documentation. Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of building systems
  • 5-10 years experience in commercial construction; 10-15 years for senior project manager
  • Experience serving in the role as project manager on at least two ground up hospitality projects ($8M+)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and appropriately prioritize
  • Self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills
Superintendents (Hospitality, K-12, Retail, Multifamily, High-rise)
The superintendent, in partnership with the project manager, is responsible for the overall success of a construction project. Position is responsible for managing subcontractors, quality control and assurance, providing exceptional client service, leading a project team, managing project schedule and being part of making the project a good experience for everyone involved, from subcontractors to the owner to Winter’s team. Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of building systems
  • 20+ years experience in commercial construction
  • Experience serving in the role as Superintendent on at least three ground up hospitality projects ($10M+)
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour safety course
  • Current NPDES certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
