Winter SPACES

Interiors and Special Projects up to $5 Million

Small projects demand big thinking. The SPACES Division at Winter Construction originated from the realization that focused, fast-track projects require a different style of management and a specific type of team to manage them. All of this with the benefits and resources of Winter Construction make Winter SPACES ideal for quick, detailed projects.

Re-Beautification

Constructed in 1918, Laura Spelman Hall is a named structure in the Atlanta University Historic District and originally housed a home economics classroom building. Prior to closing for renovation, it housed study space on the ground floor and student housing on the upper floors. Renovation and restoration included the complete interior demolition and build-back of the interior structure, exterior building upgrades, replacement of the MEP system, installation of HVAC systems, ADA upgrades, and all new finishes. The new LEED® Gold certified space includes study areas and student housing for Spelman College.

Effortless Hospitality

Part of the W Midtown conversion from the Sheraton at Colony Square, Winter transformed a floor of the hotel into the Bliss Spa, a luxurious, modern haven for beauty treatments and products. Additional renovations at the AAA Four-Diamond hotel included a feature bar called Whiskey Park, a destination bar with three separate areas: two bar areas and a lounge area, and Spice Market restaurant with a full-service kitchen.

Our Laura Spelman and Packard Hall historic renovations required a significant amount of contractor interpretation and input. Winter has done a superb job in providing invaluable assistance.
