(February 17, 2017) ATLANTA-Winter Construction has topped out the new Solis Hotel Two Porsche Drive. The new eight-story luxury hotel is adjacent to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Porsche North America headquarters.

Topping out is a construction milestone that is observed when the structure has been constructed up through the roof or highest level. The topping out at Solis Hotel is especially notable given the unique design of the roof, which includes a terrace lounge with panoramic views of the Porsche driver development track and landings and takeoffs at the airport.

Tom Nichols, Winter Construction’s President, said, “Topping out for this unique and beautiful hotel is a great milestone, and our project management team and our design and engineering partners deserve high praise for it.”

Winter is partnering with architecture firm HOK in the design-build delivery of the Solis Hotel. HOK also designed the Porsche North America headquarters. Both buildings reflect the understated elegance and sophistication associated with the global Porsche brand.

The Solis Hotel will feature 214 guest rooms and signature suites. The hotel will offer refined and approachable restaurants and bars, and 6,500 square feet of event space that includes a 3,600 square-foot ballroom.

Winter Construction project manager Anastasia Diavolitsis said that completion of the new Solis Hotel is planned for the fall of 2017.
