Winter Construction has reached key milestones in its six current K-12 school projects in Georgia, meeting deadlines to open new or renovated facilities coinciding with the start of the school year.

Winter has completed renovations and new construction of facilities at Pope High School in Cobb
County; Long Middle School and Boyd Elementary School in Atlanta; five different schools in the
Fulton County School system; Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Sandy Springs; and Atlanta
International School in the Buckhead neighborhood of Garden Hills.

At Alan C. Pope High School, Winter completed interior renovations in the existing school to allow
the updated weight room, art and graphic art rooms, and engineering and technology room to be
used for this new school year. Winter has also begun building Pope High School’s new auditorium
and gymnasium, as well as continuing renovation of athletic facilities including the track and field
and tennis courts. Winter plans to complete the new auditorium and gymnasium by early 2018.
Winter has also completed an addition of classrooms and administrative space at Crawford Long
Middle School in the Atlanta Public Schools system. Winter will soon complete its addition of a new
auditorium at Long, and will complete this multi-faceted project at the school ahead of schedule
this coming fall.

Winter is performing a complete renovation of William Boyd Elementary School for Atlanta Public
Schools. Winter recently installed structural steel to support the redesigned main entry for the
school. Winter plans to complete the entire scope of the project this fall.

Winter completed work this month in a fast-tracked project to convert classrooms into Community
Based Instruction facilities at five different high schools in the Fulton County School system. The
renovations included the installation of new wheelchair lift systems.

At Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, Winter installed modular classrooms to support the school’s
growth in enrollment. Winter has completed many fast-track summer projects at Mount Vernon
Presbyterian School over the past several years.

Winter’s project at Atlanta International School includes renovating the track and field, and
reconfiguring the school’s parking and car pool areas. Winter has completed work on the parking
and car pool areas, and has turned those areas over for the new school year. Winter will complete
the remainder of work in the next couple weeks.

Winter’s Director of Education, Carrie Campbell, says that Winter has an excellent track record in
K-12 school projects, often finishing ahead of schedule. She credits the teams on each project for
their diligence, effective communication, and leveraging Winter’s interiors and special projects
division, SPACES, led by Manager, Matt Loveless, for all of these achievements. “A primary focus
of our business is to help schools provide high-quality learning environments for their students.
Meeting and exceeding construction deadlines centered around the school year is an essential
ability to answer what we are asked to accomplish.”
