(April 15, 2016) ATLANTA, GA – Winter Construction has topped out the third and final addition at Crawford W. Long Middle School: the 3,500 square-foot addition to the administration wing. Winter previously topped out the three-story classroom wing in December and the new three-story auditorium in January. This marks a significant milestone in the 160,000 square-foot additions and renovations project, which is scheduled for completion in Fall 2016.

Carrie Campbell, Winter’s Director of Education, remarked, “Topping out is always a reason to celebrate: it means we can shift our focus from structure to dry-in and finishes, and then begin the process of readying the buildings for staff and students.”
The school has remained occupied throughout construction of all three additions, and Winter will complete renovations of the gymnasium and existing office area during the summer break. Additionally, Winter will build a new sports field.

Crawford W. Long Middle School is part of the Atlanta Public School System, and once completed, this will be the 13th project Winter has constructed in 10 years for the district.
