Winter renovated the Desire Oyster Bar & Restaurant in the Royal Sonesta New Orleans hotel over the slow winter months and in time for Mardi Gras, while the hotel remained open and operational.

The 2,340 square-foot project upgraded existing systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and food service, as well as the overall aesthetic of the historic restaurant. Existing marble wall panels, wood trim, metal ceiling panels, crown trim, tile in the main dining area, chandeliers, and fans were kept and integrated into the new design.

This project was awarded based on Winter’s successful renovation of the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
