Winter Construction completed the 36,000 square-foot renovation of the lower school building as part of the third phase of Founder’s Campus renovations.

The scope of work included replacement of carpet in the lower level classrooms, renovation of finishes in the admin area, boys and girls bathrooms, science classroom, lobby, inquiry room, and Fellowship Hall (cafeteria). This included interior storefront glazing, renovations to existing mechanical and electrical systems, new plumbing fixtures, new millwork, interior finishes, and refinish/repair operable partitions. Winter converted a classroom into a new design lab/maker space with a unique unistrut grid system for tools and cord reels, added barn door style marker-boards and whiteboards at the Corridors and Lobby, and installed a reading nook at the Inquiry Room.

In addition, Winter performed interior renovations to the Church admin area and bathrooms.

Like the previous phases, this project was completed on a fast-track schedule during the school’s summer break. This was Winter’s sixth project for Mt. Vernon Presbyterian School.
