Reimagined as Savanna Hall, the building now serves as a one-of-a-kind event space for Zoo Atlanta. Known for its grand scale and neoclassical architecture, the building retains many original features from its original construction in 1921, including its famed historic façade, original interior terra cotta brick walls and restored light fixtures on the front terrace.
The original features were complemented with a glass floor, poured-in-place terrazo floors and new terra cotta brick to match the existing.
Savanna Hall includes 25,000 square feet of event space, new staff offices for Zoo Atlanta, a commercial kitchen, and a vast overlook of the new African Savanna.
